Mike Grever Spearheads Commercial Division for The Weitz Company
The Weitz Company Continues to Strengthen Their Leadership Team with Industry Experts
(DES MOINES, IOWA) – The Weitz Company is proud to announce Mike Grever’s promotion to Director & General Manager of the company’s Commercial Division. This strategic leadership appointment reflects the company’s continued commitment to advancing experienced, forward-thinking leaders from within its ranks.
Since joining Weitz in 2015 as a Project Executive, Mike has been instrumental in enhancing customer experiences, driving operational excellence, and delivering value across some of the company’s most high-profile initiatives. Mike has helped streamline Weitz’s approach to customer service, preconstruction, and construction processes, all while building high-performing, motivated teams. Mike has successfully led major projects, including two of our most prestigious communities in California: Enso Village Senior Living and The Canopy at Mill District; and has since played a key role in guiding the team’s continued growth and pursuit of innovation.

Having previously been in the owner’s seat, Mike brings a unique perspective as he steps into his new role. His firsthand experience understanding the needs and concerns of customers allows him to anticipate their expectations, communicate effectively, and provide solutions that prioritize both functionality and sustainability. This background enables him to approach projects with a strong sense of empathy, ensuring that every decision is made with the customer’s experience in mind, from the initial design phase through to project completion.

Prior to Mike’s recent promotion, Frank DAscanio served as the interim General Manager for the Commercial unit. Frank is now solely focused on Arizona’s growing data center, industrial, aviation, and commercial markets in his role as General Manager and Vice President of Weitz’s Phoenix-based office.
