The Weitz Company is proud to expand its legacy at The Breakers Palm Beach with the launch of two exciting renovation projects in 2025: the transformation of the Beach Club dining experience and the complete reimagining of the Mediterranean Courtyard.
These projects mark a continuation of our trusted 35+ year relationship with this iconic resort, where Weitz has completed over 150 projects and more than 1.4 million square feet of additions and renovations—all delivered on fast-track schedules while the property remained fully operational and welcoming guests.
The Mediterranean Courtyard renovation will transform the only remaining area of the resort that Weitz has not yet touched. The 26,600-square-foot upgrade introduces a stunning new Glass Conservatory off the West Lobby, featuring an espresso and cocktail bar above a newly built mechanical room. The adjacent courtyard will be revitalized with new pavers, two custom pergolas, and decorative fountain elements, including replicated cast stone details. Upgrades to the North and South Loggias will include new impact-rated window and door systems, along with the replacement of historic wooden doors—marrying modern performance with timeless elegance.
Meanwhile, the 12,000-square-foot renovation of the Beach Club restaurant will convert the current space into an upscale Italian dining destination. This scope includes a full kitchen and dining area overhaul, enclosing the outdoor terrace with arched windows, upgrading the exterior bar, and replacing the HVAC system to enhance guest comfort. Notably, this space was originally built by Weitz in 1999 and renovated again in 2011—making this third transformation a full-circle moment for many of the same team members.
